Lawrence’s pastel painting was the basis for a poster designed by Laura and sold at the concerts and was used as the cover of the annual program book.
Thayer Symphony

Painted in celebration of the Thayer’s 30th anniversary. This is a sequence of images meant to convey the feelings of Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony — with its discordant, pastoral, dark passages … to land us finally in a reassuring, melodic movement.
